Recognition for connecting the schools with the people

2014-11-21 - 1204 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY - Photo (c) ColumbiaMagazine.com.
The achievements of Shamarie Claiborne at the recent Kentucky School Board/Kentucky School Public Relations Association (STORY: Shamarie Claibornes takes six state KSBA/KSPRA awards ) were recognized again at the Adair County School Board on Thu 20 Nov 2014 by Supt. Alan Reed, reading from the Distinguished Award (top one given) for the new "Kid's Come First" graphics in the Board Room. Reed noted that Shamarie had shared the credits with others, including Reed, but said, that that was Claiborne's unselfish way, that she really deserved the credit. He said that Claiborne has given new meaning to the word "transparency," put everything the board does out in the open for public scrutiny. He said that the recipient had a quality in her writing style which distinguishes it from others. "She connects," he said. She has a way of connecting with people in a way no other person I know can."
