Breeding Fire Department Chaplain Jessie Hagan displays a pan of fried apple pies made by Shirley Gibson, who keeps a wary eye to the side while cutting brownies made by Brenda Harvey, before the Breeding Fire Department Chili Supper/Auction. Serving starts at 6pmCT and lasts through the auction, which starts at 6pmCT and will include the fried apple pies. At left is EK colleague James Ray, whose presence at any county fundraising event means more than a 3-Star Michelin rating in Adair County culinary circles. - CM
