2014-10-09 - 400 Quadrant, Public Square, Columbia, KY - Photo by Ed Waggener.
(c)CM: It's still a see-through stage, but assembly is nearing complete for "The Rusty Nail/The Main Stage for the Renaissance Columbia Downtown Columbia Days. The quadrant of the Square serving Adair Annex offices, Stanzio law office, Burton Real Estate, Bonnie & Allison Salon, Town Barber Shop, and Mouser Real Estate is cordoned off while construction, started Tuesday 7 Oct 2014, is complete. But come Friday evening, 10 Oct 2014, the stage will come alive with the Kids Showcase and Thin Line Band, and on Saturday, 11 Oct 2014, the Ministerial Association will present gospel music, with in sequence throughout the day, Ashton Pyles, Tessa Pyles, Karen Pescolido, Nancy Smith; Crossroads Quartet, Compass Points South; Koriane Cox and Whitey Stearns; The Carousel Stampede featuring Easton Bryant, Neil Goodin, and Nick Kemp; then No Deceit, and finally, the headline for Downtown Days; the Trick Pony FREE Country Music Concert, when a massive crowd is expected on the Square. It that weren't enough, the Farmers Market on the Square will be open for extended hours, and the Adair County Genealogy Book Fair will be underway concurrently with much of the Downtown Days schedule.
