Columbian Theatre: Icon of wonderful old days at movies

2014-09-15 - By the Fountain, Downtown, Columbia, KY - Photo by Larry Smith, The WAVE 92.7.
Taken in black and white with my Canon Rebel,
after enjoying a Deluxe Hamburger platter at Moore's and visiting with the Moore family. On the way out, I looked up and thought about what this great landmark has meant to our community - and took this B&W to convey a what a grand place it was when Mikki Flowers' grandfather built and through the years her parents, Charles and Yvonne Marshall operated it. It still can be. Wouldn't downtown Columbia be a great place to have dinner and a movie? Of course local laws would need to change to catch up to offer all that enjoyable dinners now offer in neighboring communities. - Larry Smith, Operations manager, Shoreline Communications
