Lindsey Wilson College cyclist presented endowed scholarship

Brandon McDowell receives Frank M. Bacon Cycling Scholarship - A Lindsey Wilson College student received an endowed scholarship Tuesday. Brandon McDowell of Hebron, Indiana, was presented the Frank M. Bacon Cycling Scholarship in the college's Roberta D. Cranmer Dining & Conference Center. The scholarship, which is presented to a member of the LWC cycling program, honors the memory of the late Frank M. Bacon of Madisonville, Kentucky. Pictured are, from left: LWC assistant cycling coach Charles Mooney; Lindsey Wilson Fund Director Brady Button; Bacon's widow, Elizabeth Bacon of Madisonville; McDowell; Bacon's son, businessman Claude Bacon of Owensboro, Kentucky; and LWC Dean of Students Chris Schmidt.
