Spruce up for opening day of Adair Schools includes new paving

2014-08-07 - ACHS, 526 Indian Drive, Columbia KY - Photo CM Staff Photo.
Students will be arriving on the Adair County School District Campus one week from today, Thursday, April 14, 2014, and when they do they will be seeing a campus transformed, including a new, just paved drive onto the main Adair County High School Parking lot. The parking lot itself will now serve a dual purpose, as the ADAIR Band's paved practice field. The construction scaffolding in the center of the photo is the temporary Director's Tower, which commands a vantage point for practice on the paved field and the grass field on the left. New traffic patterns have been prepared to make arrival and departures from the campus as simple, safe, and orderly as possible. Left turns are being reduced or eliminated throughout the campus; this drive is for exit only and right turn only towards the Columbia Bypass. The campus now has six entrances/exits: Three on Greensburg Street and three on the Adair County Veterans Memorial Bypass. - CM
