JAIS/CWC Demolition: Wednesday, July 23, 2014

2014-07-24 - Adair County School District Campus, Columbia, KY - Photo CM staff photo(s). Wednesday evening, July 23, 2014, the demolition project for redundant schools John Adair Intermediate School and Col. William Casey Elementary looked like this from the back side. Most of the massive JAIS structure was on the ground. The scoreboard on Adair County Middle School Football field, right center, stands in front of the more intact Col. Casey. Workmen at the sight expected the demolition of the front wall of John Adair - yesterday mostly intact - to happen sometime today, Thursday, July 24, 2014. A good viewing area for senior superintendents is from an Adair County High School parking lot, the vantage point for this photo. The multiplex apartment unit, center, is part of the Country Place Apartment complex. Page Street water tower is in the upper left. - CM
