Rising Recording stars in Columbia

2014-07-09 - Fountain Picnic area, Downtown Columbia, KY - Photo CM staff photo. Julie Gibbs, Toronto, Canada and Kasey Lansdale, Nacogdoches, Texas, were taking a stroll in Downtown Columbia, KY, yesterday, following an interview with Lisa Fisher-Clark on WAIN, FM 93.5, at 9amCT, to promote the re-release of a single from Kasey Lansdale's "Restless" album. The two are on a national tour, being taken in three legs - this is the second one - to help boost the recording onto more national charts. Gibbs said Columbia has been her favorite spot on the tour. "It's a quaint, authentic, relaxing place to be," she said. Lansdale echoed the sentiment, "It's real," she said, "and reminds me of East Texas towns around my hometown." - EW
