Night time real life theatre will hardly be noticeable at sun up

2014-06-23 - Looking N on Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY - Photo by Ed Waggener.
At around 4amCT, Monday morning, June 23, 2014 workmen for Stotts Construction Co., LLC, were finishing a concrete pour across Greensburg, KY, to complete the 8" water main installation, with activity everywhere. Unmanned City of Columbia Police Cars blocked the intersection of the Public Square at Greensburg and, in the far distance, the High Street/Greensburg Street intersection by Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, while a Pyles Concrete truck, brightest tail lights in the very center of the frame, poured a special, quick set up concrete. Barry Stotts of Stotts Construction expected to have steel plates over the concrete and Greensburg Street re-opened to traffic by around 6amCT, this morning. During the 9 hour period the work was underway, a water main was broken, he said, and gave a heads up to expect a Columbia/Adair County Utilities District (CAUD) boil water advisory to be issued this morning. - ED WAGGENER
