Night crossing, Greensburg Street, with new 8-inch water main



2014-06-23 - Greensburg Street at Monroe, Columbia, KY - Photo by Porter Stotts. Stotts Construction Co., Inc. started the third of the main artery crossings Sunday night, June 22, 2014, at 9pmCT. In this photo, received at CM at 12:47amCT, Monday morning, an 8' pipe was being laid across the intersection. The company has already completed the crossing of Reed Street across Jamestown, Jefferson Alley across Burkesville Street, with Merchant at Campbellsville Street yet to be done. Barry Stotts, the project manager, estimated that this phase of Columbia/Adair County's Downtown Project is 45-50% complete. Tammy Stotts, the company's media representative, said that the company expects to complete the Greensburg Street crossing in the early hours of Monday, and have the street open to traffic for early morning commuters. That's the back of the Adair Annex, 424 Public Square, in the upper right of the frame.
