Adair Fiscal Court, with everybody listening hard

2014-06-12 - Adair Annex, 424 Public Square, Columbia, KY - Photo by Ed Waggener. Just a snapshot with most of the dignitaries and potentates visible and iistening hard. Also listening hard to one of Tuesday night's presenters, off camera, were Magistrates from districts 3, 4, and 5 - Honorable Sammy Baker (3), Perry Reeder (4) and Billy Dean Coffey (5), during the regular June 10, 2014 session of Adair Fiscal Court. Around the table above, from left clockwise are Magistrates Daryl Flatt (2), Harold Burton (1), Sheriff Harrison Moss, Court Recorder Jerri Nixon, Adair County CJE Ann Melton, Treasurer Barry Corbin, County Attorney Jennifer Hutchison-Corbin; Magistrates Joe Rogers (6), Billy Rowe (7); Adair County Regional Jailer Rick Wilson, and Adair County 911 Addressing and Mapping Coordinator, who presented the Reading of the Roads, and has become the Man of the Hour with the sudden success of the Trail Town USA initiative. Organizers for Trail Towns have found, so far, that the pieces of the puzzle were mostly already in place - somebody just had to connect the dots - and the work of the 911 Mapping & Addressing coordinator's office would really pay off. For Trails - Columbia already had Robyn Curry's Paddle Trail down Russell Creek, and three bike trails developed by Gary Rose and Bike Adair County. The cake was baked. Trail Towns just had to ice it - not to diminish the fantastically competent and hard work the committee has done. - Clicking Readmore accesses the complete report posted Wednesday morning, and many more photo(s) of the meeting two days ago on June 10, 2014. - CM
