Russell Co. HS graduates receive Cooley scholarships

2014-06-08 - Lindsey Wilson College - Photo by Duane Bonifer. LWC photo.
Six recent graduates of Russell County High School
were recognized Thursday at Lindsey Wilson College. The six students - who will be LWC freshmen in the fall - were named recipients of the college’s Claude Lee and Dollie Beatrice Cooley Endowed Scholarship. The scholarship -- which is named in memory of two donors to the college -- supports area residents who attend the liberal arts college. Presenting the scholarship to the six recipients is LWC trustee Sue Stivers of Columbia, who was Dollie Beatrice Cooley’s cousin.
