New Brush Creek Bridge is open

2014-06-05 - Frank Dohonoey RD, District 4, Adair Co., KY - Photo by Ed Waggener. Frank Dohoney Road has a graceful approach to the new Brush Fork Bridge, and makes a soft turn toward KY 61 South on the far side. The bridge is the 19th new bridge opened in the administration of Judge Ann Melton. The bridge was built with emergency funds to assure safe crossing of the creek by EMS ambulances. Before the bridge was built, Brush Fork frequently flood the dry bridge which is now replaced. The bridge location is just a few hundred yards from the confluence of Brush Creek and Petty's Fork.
