Mike Stephens, Democratic CJE, celebrates with brother

2014-05-21 - Adair Annex, 424 Public Square, Columbia, KY - Photo by Ed Waggener. Michael Lee Stephens left celebrated a Democratic Primary victory Tuesday night, May 20, 2014, with brother, Richard Stephens, who was following the results of the Kentucky Senate District 16 race. Stephens won the Democratic nomination for Adair County Judge Executive, by 197 votes, receiving 753 votes to his opponent's, Joe Rogers' 556. Stephens will face two term Republican incumbent CJE Ann Melton in the November 4, 2014, general election. Melton had no primary opposition. The Stephenses were headed to Campbellsville afterward, for the street party for Senator-Elect Max Wise.
