Karli Jessie Outstanding Ag Sophomore at UK

Karli Jessie - She served as Adair County FFA president in 2012. She was recently recognized as Outstanding Sophomore in the UK College of Agriculture, Food, and the Environment. She has been on the Dean's List at UK for the past two years. Her parents are David and Holly Jessie of Columbia, KY. - KIRBY JESSIE.
Her involvement while at the University of Kentucky and Community Involvement includes: Selected as a student of the Coordinated Program in Dietetics Class of 2016; Alpha Phi Omega Fraternity, 2013-2014; Top 20% academically of UK freshman class, 2013; Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society, 2013; Dean's List; Selected as an Explorations in Leadership Student; 2013 Internship with Commissioner of Agriculture, James Comer, freshman year, 2013; Blanding Tower Hall Government, 2012-2013; Member of Student Dietetic and Nutrition Association, 2012-Present; Volunteer at God's Pantry, 2013-Present; Volunteer for Plate It Up Kentucky, 2013; Camp Counselor at Center for Courageous Kids, 2013; Volunteer at Health Fair at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, 2013; Volunteer at Peace Meals Gardening, 2013; Volunteer at Meals for Haiti, 2013; FFA Camp Chaperone, 2013. Internships: Student Consultant, August 2013-Present, Multimodal Communication Consulting Center, Lexington, KY; Kentucky Department of Agriculture Intern, January 14, 2013- April 26, 2013; Kentucky Department of Agriculture, Frankfort, Kentucky. This summer Karli received an internship with the YMCA and will be teaching youth classes, giving nutritional presentations, and helping members achieve healthier lifestyles.
