Survivor 28 star Jeffra Bland on The Big Dawg

2014-05-09 - 101 E Main Street, Campbellsville, KY - Photo by Larry Smith, The Big Dawg, 99.9 FM radio. Jeffra Bland came on the Big Dawg, 99.9 FM, yesterday to tell everybody here at home about her recent experience on the Tv Show Survivor 28. What a cool interview. Jeffra finished 7th in the reality television show. She told us all of the show is for real - the cameras are on all the time, and, no, the participants aren't eaten granola bars off camera. She said that every drop of water they drank had to be boiled because of the parasites. She even got in a plug for Campbellsville's candidate for 16th District State Senator, Max Wise. She's one of Campbellsville's former Miss Kentuckys, and she even has a street named for her, "Jeffra Drive," off KY 210 Bypass, a designation which came in the administration of Mayor Paul Osborne. The Taylor County High School graduate now spends her time speaking to Rotary and Lions Clubs, and to school groups to help keep kids off drugs. She's a great personality and, I'm proud to say, another Taylor County rising star. - LARRY SMITH, Operations Manager, Shoreline Communications
