Columbia's Best Kept Secret in Dogwood, Redbud time

2014-04-26 - Appen Avenue, Jones-Wright Addition, Columbia, KY - Photo by Ed Waggener. Appen Avenue in the Jones-Wright Addition, is beautiful today, with dogwoods and redbud in full bloom. Longtime resident Edwin Taylor calls it "Columbia's Best Kept Secret." Jim Harper, headed home, above, said it was also Columbia's oldest subdivision, and maybe in some sense, it would be; but it seems there were several before, often referenced in the writings of JIM: Boomer Heights, the Hudson Addition, the Harvey Addition, the Tutt Addition, and more.
