Adair County view of CAUD's newest water tower

2014-04-13 - Gentry Mill Road, East Adair County, KY - Photo by Linda Waggener. There's a blue two tone primer coat on the newest storage tank the Water Men - Robert Flowers, Barry Stotts, Rudy Higginbotham, Tim Baker, David Jones, Lenny Stone, Marshall Loy, et al - of Columbia/Adair Utilities have built, and this is the view from Gentry Mill Road, the scenic CR shortcut from the county line on the Russell Springs Highway to Sano Road. The tank will be seen much more prominently approaching Adair County from Russell Springs where it adds an interesting background to the Bethlehem Separate Baptist Church steeple. This tower will be much more simply labelled than other CAUD storage facilities, with a wrap-around "C A U D" in big letters, intended to be seen from Russell Springs Highway (KY 80) from both directions. The weather slowed finish up somewhat, but GM Lenny Stone said he expects the tank to be painted, inspected, and online in May 2014.
