Senator Gregory at FM2, 2nd of 30 sessions, April 12, 2014

2014-04-13 - Adair Annex, 424 Public Square, Columbia, KY - Photo by Ed Waggener. Senator Sara Beth Gregory (KY-16), left enjoyed a visit to Farmers Market on the Square, Saturday, April 16, and visited with Darrell & Sandy Scott of Shady Ridge Nursery, before visiting the Ag Expo at ACES. The Scotts brought Pink Dogwood, Yellow Dogwood, Snow Bushes, Barberry, Lilacs and Hostas. Peach, Pear, Apple trees to the market. Farmers Market on the Square - "FM2" or "FM Square" for short - is open 8am-1pmCT, each Saturday, April 6-October 26, 2014. Despite all the activity in Adair County yesterday, or maybe because of it, the street fair had a dramatic uptick in activity and sales. Many vendors had sell-out days. Barbara Armitage, Market Coordinator, says we haven't seen anything yet. "We had 11 vendors today, and that's a grand number. But as more fresh vegetables and fruits come in, it will get bigger." The main thing she said, is that everybody, sellers, buyers, and those just there to visit, had a good time.
