Superintendents discuss approach of end of school year

2014-04-11 - The WAVE - Photo by Larry Smith, The WAVE, FM 92.7 radio. Russell County School Superintendent Michael Ford and Adair County Superintendent Alan W. Reed were guests this morning on the WAVE radio station. The main topic was the successful ends of school years in the two systems. Russell County's last day for students is Friday, May 23, 2014. Adair County will be out one week later on Friday, May 30, 2014. A big congratulations was in order this morning for Superintendent Michael Ford, who was named 'Citizen of the Year,' at last night's Russell County Chamber of Commerce Banquet held at Lure Lodge at Lake Cumberland State Park. The award shows how much the area respects educators, especially innnovative ones like Supt. Ford; in 2013, I was honored to take Supt. Reed's picture with Mike Harris, Roger Meadows, and Rep. Bam Carney at Lindsey Wilson when Reed received the "Educator of the Year," award and special recognition from the Kentucky House of Repesentatives. (Supt. Alan Reed named Educator of the Year Award - Larry Smith, FM 92.7, the WAVE)
