Birds of Kentucky: Dove, frequently near the feeder

2014-03-26 - East Fortune Street, Columbia, KY - Photo CM Staff Photo. Doves are the first to come and the last to leave when food is spilled from the feeder. This one was almost as tame as a house pet, somewhat as domesticated as a chicken, but with much better manners. Only squirrels among the creatures of the wild seem to claim a greater right of membership - though squirrels insist on entitlements, too.
