Life in the Holler: Shed light on a moment and things change

2014-03-16 - Topside, The Holler, Old Clearsprings Road, Ozark, KY - Photo by Shamarie Claiborne.
Anyone who saw me yesterday from about 5 pm until 7:30-ish saw me in some of the strangest places with my camera out. While at Gate on Burkesville Street I had just purchased my lottery ticket and looked up and the light from the sunset was shining on these little guys. I thought it was about time they got a little warmth and publicity. So I grabbed my camera and was standing in the middle of the parking lot snapping a few shots. I know people who don't know me are convinced my elevator must not go all the way to the top floor. But when you shed light on a moment it changes things; this time it went from average to picture worthy. Or I thought so anyway . . . - Shamarie Claiborne
