Mayoral candidate at Sportsmen's fish fry with No. 1 supporter

Columbia City Council Member June Parson is the only announced candidate for Mayor, and she won't be subject to the Tuesday, May 20, 2014, primary election. But she was campaigning at the big Adair Sportmen Club Fish Fry, Stump Speaking and Auction last night her Number 1 supporter, son Jason Hawkins, one of Adair County's most popular men. She knows how lucky she is, "I know how important he is," she said. "He's the last person I would want to be running against," she said, "even if he weren't my son. Jason is a long time employee of Lindsey Wilson College and big supporter of Downtown Columbia.
