When's my day? The day CM failed an important constituency

2014-03-05 - Columbia, KY - Photo by Linda Waggener.
It was almost an accusatory stare Junior Squirrell (sic), Jr., gave us, in his most Punxsatawneyesque pose. And actually he had a point. His day had come and gone without notice in his jurisdiction on Fortune Street. No declaration of Squirrel Day at City Hall nor from Fiscal Court. Nothing on, and listening hard, nothing on the Big Dawg. Nary a mention. It was another reminder that it would be worth while to go to school and get an associate's degree in how to run the dammit multiple remotes my service gave me to operate, but now is more boffinly complex and one which only one of our household has learned to use. Because if I'd watched ABC news, I would have known that Squirrel Appreciation Day was January 21, 2014. Apologies, CM readers. Apologies Junior Squirell, Jr. Apologies Mayors of Greater Bliss, Knifley, and Hardscratch for not asking for a fiat or at least a decree for the Squirrels. We'll do better next time. - ED WAGGENER
