2014-03-02 - 75 Oak Grove Road, Columbia, KY - Photo by Ed Waggener. The Golden Brown Color of the last batch of pancakes couldn't have been better. Chefs, from left, Robert Burton, Tim Baker, and John Shoffner, prepared hundreds of them Saturday morning, March 1, 2014,for Hood Lodge's Meet-and-Greet the Candidates Pancake Breakfast, served with sausage and country ham, butter and syrup, and orange juice, milk, and/or coffee - for $5 a head. With the plethora of candidates who appeared and 'lectioneered and freely bought tickets for others in attendance, some weren't even out that token amount. The pancakes lived up to their billing, modestly critiqued by Baker as "the best you ever tasted."
