Election 2014: Mark D. Harris for Adair Co. Court Clerk 2014-02-26 - Columbia, KY - Photo Campaign Photo. MARK HARRIS REPUBLICAN CANDIDATE FOR COUNTY CLERK Friends, Family and Citizens of Adair County, I am Mark Harris, Republican candidate for Adair County Clerk. I want to take this opportunity to ask for your consideration and vote on May 20, 2014. I am a lifelong resident of Adair County, a 1985 graduate of Adair County High School; I attended Lindsey Wilson College and graduated from the Department of Criminal Justice Training at Eastern Kentucky University. I am the son of Howard "Kookie" and Linda Harris and I am married to Cindy Harris, an employee of United Citizens Bank. We have two daughters, Kendra Leveridge and Bailey Harris. Kendra is an Admissions Counselor at Lindsey Wilson College and Bailey is a sophomore at Adair County High School where she is a member of the Adair County Band. My family and I are members of the Columbia Baptist Church where I serve as Deacon and member of the Music Ministry Team. I'm also the current President of the Adair County Band Boosters. I have served our Community for the past 25 years as a Law Enforcement Officer, Chief of Police and presently serving as Mayor for the City of Columbia. I have spent most of my adult life serving this community and it would be a great honor to continue my public work as your County Clerk. AS COUNTY CLERK: I will bring my leadership qualities to provide you with prompt efficient and friendly service as I have in the past I have written and received numerous grants, in my past and current positions, and I will continue to seek all grant opportunities to ensure that your County Clerk's office stays up to date with all on-line services If elected, I look forward to serving you with the current trained staff in the County Clerk's office As I make my visits across Adair County, please share with me your thoughts and ideas of how you envision YOUR County Clerk's office.
