Election 2014 - Joe Rogers, for Adair Co. Judge Executive 2014-01-28 - Columbia, KY - Photo Candidate photo. Vote for Joe Rogers for Adair County CJE Dear Citizens of Adair County, I would like to take this opportunity to formally announce my candidacy for the office of Adair County Judge Executive. I believe it is the responsibility of the County Judge and its staffs to represent the people of the county and their needs. Decisions made by the Judge Executive must be made without bias and with vigilant management of fiscal resources. The elected official must be committed to bringing new business and jobs to the county, while aggressively seeking solutions to financial deficits and managing current hospital issues. I believe the people have a right to know where their tax dollars are going and will hold the persons spending that money accountable for the decisions that are made. As a 1977 graduate of Adair County High School, I was involved in both football and track and was an active member of FFA and Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Following high school, I earned a degree from Lindsey Wilson College. As a property owner, with a passion for farming, I am a lifelong Adair Countian who is fully vested in the welfare of this community. I have been married to my wife, Sandy Ballou Rogers for 32 years and have one daughter, Cassie. After serving as Adair County's Sixth District Magistrate for many years, I feel that I am equipped with a unique knowledge of the position and dedicated to helping the county thrive. I am aware of the issues important to the people and am ready to address those issues head on. Finally, I am humbled by the support and encouragement I have received from the people of Adair County as I announce my candidacy for this important office. I will try my best to see as many of the people as I can, however, if I miss you, I apologize. I would like to take this opportunity to ask you for your vote and support in the May 2014 primary.
