Peg Shaeffer writes: I adopted out a dog named "Chief" today and received this photo and comments:

Hi Peg, I will send you a better picture soon with Ellie and Chief, but wanted to share this one with you. He had a bath and after his initial nervousness he settled down to take a nap. Ellie decided he needed a story read to him. (of course she can't read yet, but thought it was so sweet) She is already telling us she "loves him so much", and he is doing fine with our little dog Scooter. He will keep the name Chief, we think it's perfect for him. Will update you again with a little better photo. Thanks so much! - Jennifer, Barry and Ellie (Parker)
