Larry Smith: Campbellsville Civic Center open house



2013-12-01 - SE Corner, Broadway & N Columbia Avenue, Campbellsville, KY - Photo by Larry Smith, The Big Dawg, 99.9 FM radio. A large crowd of people took the tour Sunday, December 1, 2013, between 1pm-5pmET, today, Sunday, December 1, 2013. Everyone from children to the Campbellsville University provided Christmas Music. Refreshments were provided and Mayor Tony Young and city council members gave the tour. The first ever City Council meeting in the building will be held Monday night, December 2, 2013 at 7pmET. As the sign indicates, the civic center provides a one-stop center for several community enterprises, including the Economic Development Authority, Team Taylor County; the Chamber of Commerce, Greater Campbellsville United, Community Ventures, and Renaissance-Downtown Business. The building is located at on N. Columbia Avenue, at the intersection of Broadway & North Columbia Avenue, where only recently Campbellsville University opened it Alumni & Friends Park/Noe Plaza, the main entrance to the university. - Larry Smith
