Parking lots packed for Gigantic Auction

2013-11-16 - Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY - Photo By Ed Waggener. Perhaps 170-200 cars packed the spaces around Col. Wm. Casey Elementary and John Adair Intermediate School for the "Gigantic Suplus Auction." At just before 10amCT this morning the auction had only moved through one aisle of the school which was lined with office equpment. Prices seemed to be fair for both buyers and sellers. File cabinets, sold in lots of 4 or 5, were printing $75-100 per lot, and the four surplus vehicles fetched a total of around $5,500. The sale started in John Adair and concludes in Col. Wm. Casey. At 11amCT it had moved to the Colonel Wm Casey site.
