Powell Creek Bridge is complete

2013-11-09 - Clear Springs Road, District 2, Columbia, KY - Photo by Ed Waggener.
It's a beauty
. The Bridge over Powder Creek on Clearsprings Road in Daryl Flatt's Magisterial District 2 is now open, and it's a beauty. The bridge was built by the Adair County Road Department - the 18th (or is it 19) built in the Adair County Judge Executive Ann Melton's tenure. Upgrading roads, maintaining roads, and building bridges seems so routine now that it's sometimes difficult to wrap one's mind around the fact that almost 25% of Adair County's 80-some bridges have been replaced during Ann's administrations. The next bridge set for replacement is over Cabin Creek, on Old Montpelier Road, in Sammy Baker's District 3. The photo above was taken Friday, November 8, 2013. - EW
