Favorite Old Photo: Adair County Band, a while ago

2013-11-02 - 102 Public Square, Columbia, KY - Photo from collection of Ann Curtis. Adair County Band Here's another photo of the Adair County Band, from the 1950s. As I recall, this was the first time the group had played in public and we were VERY nervous! It was for the opening of a business whose name I cannot recall. And it rained!!! Therefore, we were huddled under the awning of the dime store. Under the direction of Mr. Jack McCarty. Front row, from left: CLARINETS: Allen McNeil, Ann Heskamp, Marsha Brock, Unknown, Becky Parsons, FLUTES: Jane Moran, Pat Keltner, Brenda Woody, SAXOPHONES: Margaret Montgomery, Junior Alley. Back row, from left: CLARINETS: Nettie Ann Blair, Betty Yates, Barbara Sue Smith....unable to identify the others. - ANN HESKAMP CURTIS (If anyone else remembers the other names, please send using the Comments button with this photo - CM)
