Friends in Jesus at 2013 Downtown Days

2013-10-13 - Main Stage, 400 Quadrant, Public Square, Columbia, KY - Photo By Linda Waggener, CM Photo. Friends in Jesus - Junior Feese, Gerald Coomer, Buddy Smith, Nancy Smith, and Cynthia Coomer, and Donna Feese, and sometimes Sammy Blair, and Bobby Lee appeared on the Main Stage at Downtown Days 2013 during the Adair Ministerial Association program, Saturday at around noon. Junior Feese may have been the marketing genius who came up with the name which gets so much attention because of that one proposition. On a regular basis, hosts for the group call up to say that the announcement is okay, but please change "in" to "of." But they are "Friends in Jesus." It's an attention getter. Mr. Feese said that introductions sometimes cause him to turn look around the room when they are introduced as "Friends and Jesus." The group has quickly become one of the most sought-after and booked Gospel groups in South Central Kentucky. - EW
