(Ad) Moon & Stars watermelons like strawberry plant bed

2013-10-05 - Adair Annex Parking Lot, 424 Public Square, Columbia, KY - Photo by Jana Esch. These moon & stars watermelons - came from a rogue watermelon plant in my strawberry bed that I let have its way. Normally these melons are a small variety but they must have liked the rich dirt in the raised bed. The largest one measures over 17 inches high and, according to my husband, is very heavy! Barbara Armitage will be bringing scales to the Farmer's Market on the Square for the "official" weigh-in. As an appreciation gift to my customers, I will be giving these watermelons to the first two customers who purchase $15.00 or more at my Just Natural Products booth. - Jana Esch
