Scenic Adair County, KY: Life on Powder Creek is laid back

2013-10-01 - Clear Springs Road, Adair County, KY - Photo by Ed Waggener. It's one of the most peaceful places in Adair County at Benjy Kimbler's place beside Powder Creek in Adair County and so the laid back attitude in the sign. The house is in a stone's throw from the new Bridge being built on Clear Springs Road in Magisterial District 2 by the Adair County Road Department. In late September when the photo was taken the stream is docile, but Magistrate Daryl Flatt has photos on his iPhone which are a testament to Powder Creek's rambunctuousness when it would escape its banks and flood the bed of the old bridge.
