Yellow Flowers (DYF) near Little Cake Christian Church



2013-09-22 - Little Cake Road, District 1, Columbia, KY - Photo by Ed Waggener. Yellow Flowers Above in bloom on roadside across from Little Cake Christian Church in the Little Cake community of Adair County, KY. The species vies with Golden Rod, which also grows in glorious profusion along the roadsides in the Green River area of the county. These were call "Black Eyed Susans" when first posted. But thanks to Joyce Coomer, we have a photo of Black Eyed Susans, with a distinctive black eye. See, Paired Photo Wildflowers of Kentucky: Blackeyed Susans. Joyce hasn't yet made an identification of the flowers above. - EW
