Rare signed copy of The Whittlers presented to Stotts-Phelps 2013-09-10 - 210 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY - Photo from Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home. Recently Mary Helen Rowe Derting of Louisville, KY presented an Adair County Courthouse "The Whittlers" print to the Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home. "The Whittlers" is a color print of the courthouse before the 1970s renovation which includes a copy of the late John Shelley's poem, "The Whittlers." The prints created by the late James & Emma Woody and were a gift to a community fundraiser from the Woodys. The print above was a Christmas gift to Mrs. Derting in 1976 from her late parents, Loenna and O.G. Rowe. Her brother, the late Marshall Rowe, took the time to have various elected officials and business people of Columbia sign the print. Shown accepting the print from Mrs. Derting are Louis McQueary & Richard Phelps, owners of the funeral home. Those people signing the print were: Lorenna Rowe, O.G.
