They're serving French Market Donuts, fried seconds ago, then sprinkled with confectionary sugar. An order comes with five of the donuts and are best, they say, eaten outdoors dunked in piping hot coffee. They come out pretty quickly, but occasionally expect to wait in line. The proprietors refuse to cook ahead. "They just taste so much better when they're done this way," Ellen Hingle says. - EW
