Favorite Old Post Card: Main Street, Campbellsville, KY



2013-08-26 - Main Street, Campbellsville, KY - Photo by Larry Smith, The Big Dawg, 99.9 FM radio. Larry Smith, Operations Manager of Shoreline Communications sends this favorite old postcard of Main Street, Campbellsville, KY. It was a pretty, thriving Main Street, and looks very much the same today, as far as the buildings are the same, except for the three story building on the left, the Citizen Bank Building, which is now a two story building, after there was a fire in 1961. The photo above is from the 1940s. The sensible parking, angled in, replaced parallel parking, an improvement in the administration of Mayor Bobby Miller, who also had the parking meters removed. - Larry Smith
