Epicurean Great Dane: Caesar Tested the new label 2013-08-03 - Adair Annex, 424 Public Square - Photo by Ed Waggener. Caesar, the slightly larger of the to brothers has a new gig at the Farmers Market on the Square. He's been in training with David Moore, standing by the 235 pound Great Dane puppy dog, who's been bringing him to the Farmers Market to act as popcorn ambassador for Tucker's Station Farms, a job he's held - and still holds - and performs with exemplary distinction. Now Caesar is taste testing culinary wares around the Square. Last week Caesar was given a Jay Cox country ham biscuit, down it in one gulp, and pronounced it superb. His brother, Lucky, in front, is a shy, dignified dog and will take no part in Paula Deen theatrics. Both Lucky and Caesar are rescue dogs. Though actually only brothers by adoption, the two dogs have strong family bonds now, and lead very happy pampered lives, except may when they visit Tucker's Station, where police like discipline is imposed, and canines lead a dog's life, not even able to watch a little Tv after the 10pmCT, Barbara and Wayne Armitage fiat imposing light's out at that time. However, before anyone calls animal abuse, they at least have air conditioned lodges, and the rest of the day they get to watch approved Tv shows as much as they like.
