Christmas in July: Farewell group photo

2013-07-29 - Shelby Co., KY - Photo by Ed Waggener. Christmas in July a 29 year tradition of the children, cousins, descendants et al of E.P. & Audrey Waggener, Columbia, KY, was held for the first time in a geographical center of the clan, Shelbyville, KY, home of the two and newest members, Hailey Waggener and Tillie Waggener. The newest first time attendee, Geniece Marcum, Columbia, KY, was inducted in a traditional ceremony by Beth Ann Cravens. Only about one-third of those in attendance are in the picture above. Others had left for homes in Florida, Indiana, and Kentucky. Photo taken Sunday, July 28, 2013, at the close of the reunion which began with swarming on Shelbyville Friday, July 26, 2013. The little boy photo-bomber is Doug Waggener, with life-like sculptures in the water feature.
