Favorite photos from the past: Travis & Rose Anna, earlier

2013-07-23 - Pellyton, KY - Photo from the collection of Travis Adams. A continuing romance: Travis Adams, was 16 years old when the photo on the left was taken. "I looked a lot like Elvis he quips." That photo was taken in 1951. It would be a few years before he met the Doris Day look alike on the right, Rose Anna Sapp. "She was the prettiest girl I ever saw, and people always told me she was the prettiest girl around. She had beautiful blond hair, the bluest eyes the Creator ever made," he said, and she became Mrs. Travis Adams. They are still together. The romance continues, at their retirement home on Sanders Ridge in Adair County, so close to Casey he's a 606-area code man. Adams is now working on details for the publication of his memoirs. The retired United Methodist Church Minister says that he's done more different things to make a living than anybody he knows. Those who know him can't wait to see the biography in print. - CM
