Terry Loy: Children will be taught starting Aug. 14, 2013

2013-07-19 - 1204 Greensburg Road, Columbia, KY - Photo by Ed Waggener. Terry Loy, on-site construction manager for Branscum Construction, outlined a coordinated turnover of the new Adair County Primary Center to the Adair County School Board with just one unequivocal commitment: Instruction can begin August 14, 2013. Loy, for whom the Adair County Primary Center is the last job in his career, has become something of a folk hero for the job, completing the work on the $12 million project in just days over one year. Branscum mobilized for the project, on July 9, 2012, facing a rocky site and overcoming a series of weather related slowdowns. Still, Loy told the Thursday, July 18, 2013 board meeting, the ACPC will open for classes on its appointed date. Loy said that his projections are that a few days will pass before the gym and cafeteria are ready, everything else will be. - EW
