Don & Fran Neat find pretty mushroom in Tallulah Gorge, GA

2013-06-30 - Tallulah Gorge, GA - Photo by Fran Neat. At foot of 600 metal step stairs: Don and I were recently tourists in Tallulah Gorge State Park in northern Georgia. As we descended 600 metal steps to the bottom of the gorge, we spotted this mushroom with a vibrant red cap growing near the steps. I have not seen one like this in our area before but thought it pretty enough to share. - Fran Neat, Cane Valley, KY
