Cane Valley crafts mall for grandparents and collectors

2013-06-15 - Fountain Plaza, Downtown Columbia, KY - Photo by Ed Waggener. A perfect place for a devoted Mema and collectors, was Joseph left and Trilby Vance's Sonny's Woodcrafts, coupled in a tent mall with fellow artisan Jerry Watson, center dubbed the Cane Valley Mall at today's June Dairy Day/Farmer's Market on the Square. Every kid had to try one of the whimsical heritage toys by Sonny Vance - pull a toy train or big wooden semi truck and trailer, or just walk a truck or watch a monkey shinny down a stick. The Mema - Linda Waggener - in the foreground was looking for stocking stuffers for Christmas 2013 for four grandchildren, and settled a custom made ones. Jerry Watson, also of Cane Valley, crafts beautiful bowls - no two alike, and was getting steady interest. The Trilby of Joseph & Trilby Vance, was present on the Square, but away from her station at the time the photo was taken. It's been a beautiful day for the combined event. The Square is closed off until 3pmCT this evening. - CM
