Farmers Market on the Square booth - Better come early

Sue Dowell of Columbia was one of the lucky one's at a recent FM2 She got to the Farmer's Market on the Square early, in time to buy some of Jerry Compton's beautiful strawberries. Several times this season the strawberry growers - Jerry * Eddie Compton and Barbara and Wayne Armitage, have sold out before opening time at 8amCT, or shortly afterward. The Farmer's Market on the Square is weekly Downtown Fair, with some anchor vendors who are here every week, a changing cast of specialty vendors, and varying shows and exhibits. Food is available at FM2, and at two - next week three - Downtown Columbia restaurants. The Farmer's market is open 8am-12pm noon CT, every Saturday in the growing season, in the Annex Parking Lot, 424 Public Square, Columbia, KY.
