Frances Glasgow remembers D-Day



2013-06-06 - Columbia, KY - Photo from Lindsey Wilson College. Preparing for LWC Singers July 4, 2013, appearance at the American Cemetery at Normandy Part of the preparation for the performance has been visiting with people in the community who have a direct connection with the D-Day invasion. Below are two photos of our visit with Francis Glasgow, whose husband, Glenn Shirley Glasgow, served as an Army Medic. Pictured with Mrs. Glasgow is Allison Chafin of the Lindsey Wilson Singers. The helmet in the foreground is that of a German soldier found in a fox-hole near Normandy beach by Mr. Glasgow.
