The Columbia/Adair County Economic Development Authority held another executive session this morning starting at 8amCT and continuing until just after 9amCT, Monday, June 3, 2013, when the door was again open to all the public, a lone media representative. Chairman Jim Hadley annnounced that no action was taken in the meeting - it can't be under the law - and that no action would be taken at the meeting, following which the meeting was adjourned. In the meeting were actual members of the the board, Chairman Jim Hadley, members Doug McCammish, Randy Burns, Anthony Janes, Dan Antle, and Tony Corbin. Other present were CJE Ann Melton, Mayor Mark Harris, the latter two ex officio members of the board but non voting private citizen Marty Dykes and private citizen Greg Corbin, and a spokesman for whatever they were discussing. CM has not learned if the "no action" meant that none is needed or that action would be needed and will come at a later time. Public law allows an executive session in the matters involving the sale or purchase of land, but only if the discussion would affect the price of the land.
