Stamp out Hunger Day underway. Today, Saturday, May 11, 2013

Harris, encourage all Adair County's to remember those who are going through harder times than the more fortunate among us. Ms. Long, Director of the Adair Food Pantry, back row said the requests for food really great at this time. The photo above was taken May 7, 2013, when Stamp Out Hunger Day was proclaimed for today by Mayor Harris and CJE Melton. On the back row are Glen LeFeivre, Columbia USPS supervisor; Ronnie Holt, Stamp out Hunger Coordinator, Long, and Columbia Postmaster Randal Murrell. Food may be left in sturdy bags by post boxes for carrier pickup today or may be taken to the Columbia Post Office, 800 Burkesville Street, Columbia, KY, today.
