Hospital meeting - Financial team

2013-05-01 - Cafeteria, Westlake Regional Hospital, 901 Westlake Drive, Columbia, KY - Photo by Ed Waggener. David Hayes, Westlake CFO told the Adair County Hospital District that financial statements through January 2013 are likely in two weeks, with subsequent ones delivered on time, now that glitches in computers are being worked through. At his side was Tammy Curry, who is back after a few weeks hiatus, at work in accounting department, and, according to Hayes, a major reason why the numbers are coming together. Hayes cited numerous situations where, in the past, Westlake had either failed to bill for procedures, billings reflected inadequate charges from third party payers, and where former management teams had failed to request timely and ordinary reimbursement increases. The CFO said these and other revenue shortcomings are being addressed.
